$3 million verdict in Prempro case

A jury in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has found that the drug maker Wyeth is liable for failing to warn a woman about the risks of breast cancer posed by its drug, Prempro. Wyeth has now lost two lawsuits. It won several others.

The verdict included money for compensatory damages, but not punitive damages. There are between 5,000-10,000 such cases nationwide.
